Hall of Fame trainer Steve Asmussen has long expressed admiration for Hall of Fame trainer Jerry Hollendorfer, and it’s the Hollendorfer-trained All Star Bub whom the Asmussen-trained Super Majesty probably has to beat in the $100,000 Iowa Distaff on Friday night at Prairie Meadows. Hollendorfer, in fact, trained Super Majesty last year at 3 as the filly emerged as an exciting California-based prospect, winning her first two starts by more than 20 lengths combined. Super Majesty won the Grade 3 Dogwood Stakes at Churchill in September, then finished 12th in the Breeders’ Cup Filly and Mare Sprint, her final start at 3, and was trained by Asmussen when she showed up again this season. :: Bet the Iowa Distaff with DRF Bets.
