Super high five returns $94,786, tops carryover payouts
ARCADIA, Calif. - The $1 super high five produced the largest payoff of three jackpot bets that began with carryovers on Sunday’s nine-race program at Santa Anita.
There were carryovers in the 50-cent pick five ($392,388), $2 pick six ($87,742), and $1 super high five ($41,273) from Saturday. Sunday’s payoffs were $710 in the pick five, $15,659 in the pick six, and $94,786 in the super high five.
There were 3,102 winning tickets in the pick five, covering the first five races. Bettors added a massive $2,105,110 to the pool on Sunday.
The winners of the pick five races were McKenzies Way ($16.40), Logan’s Moon ($6), Suva Harbor ($9.40), Metaboss ($3.60), and Kill Shot ($3.80).
Metaboss and Kill Shot were the first two winners of a pick six that had 25 winning tickets. The bet covered the fourth through ninth races. The winners of the sixth through ninth races were Warren’s Gussie ($21.80), Rainbow North ($5.20), Shrinking Violet ($22.20), and Won’t Be Shaken ($9.80).
For the $1 super high five on the final race, Won’t Be Shaken was followed by Zippinaroundtown (28-1), Is This Georgia (35-1), Albany Candy (20-1), and Honey Nugget (7-1). Miz Graycee, the 7-5 favorite in the maiden claimer over a mile, was pulled up in the stretch and walked back to the stables.
There were five winning tickets in the super high five.
