ARCADIA, Calif. – Super Corredora, the champion 2-year-old filly of 2025, will have her second start of 2026 in Sunday’s Grade 3 Santa Ysabel Stakes for 3-year-old fillies at 1 1/16 miles, trainer John Sadler confirmed over the weekend. Super Corredora, winner of the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies on Oct. 31 at Del Mar, finished last of four in the Las Virgenes Sakes at a mile on Feb. 8 at Santa Anita. She has since worked twice, most recently going five furlongs in 59.60 seconds on Sunday. The time was one of the quickest at the distance on a busy morning. “Since she didn’t run her best, I’d like to run her back,” Sadler said. Also on Sunday, Journalism, one of the nation’s top 3-year-olds of 2025, worked a half-mile in 49.40, his second official work of the year. Trained by Michael McCarthy, Journalism worked three furlongs in 36.80 on Feb. 22. “He’s moving in a nice rhythm,” McCarthy said. A winner of 6 of 11 starts, Journalism has earned $4,348,880. He won the Santa Anita Derby, Preakness Stakes, and Haskell last year. In his final start of 2025, Journalism finished fourth in the Breeders’ Cup Classic on Nov. 1 at Del Mar. :: Santa Anita Classic Meet! Get DRF Past Performances, Clocker Reports, and more.
