He beats these with a more favorable voyage under Edgar Perez. STAR PRINCE ran huge to finish second last out at odds of 71-1. The Sharp Azteca colt lacks speed but should come with another strong run late. LAW OF ONE adds blinkers and stretches out in distance after failing to fire on debut. The experience and added ground should benefit. (3) SANTA ANITA RACE 7: WILLOW COVE races for the first time since August 2024. She comes in off a steady series of drills for trainer Mike Puype and attracts jockey Juan Hernandez. LADY GREGORY is the one to beat on paper but has lost at odds-on three times since April. Her affinity for the surface makes her tough to omit. (2) SANTA ANITA RACE 8: MYSTIC FLYER drops in for $10,000 in his first start since March 2024. There are some potential red flags with this California-bred, but his best beats these in gate-to-wire fashion. AUSTONIAN lacks early speed but can finish with solid energy. Trainer Bob Hess Jr. legs up veteran jockey Kent Desormeaux on this son of Smiling Tiger. (2) SANTA ANITA RACE 9: INFINITY DREAM stretches out to a route of ground for the first time for trainer Richard Baltas. She attracts jockey Hector Berrios and is capable of springing the minor upset if she takes to the trip.
