Sunland Park: High Test Gal takes La Senora Stakes

Coady Photography High Test Gal and jockey Francisco Giles win the La Senora Stakes by 4 1/2 lengths Saturday.
High Test Gal won her second straight stakes race Saturday, cruising by 4 1/2 lengths in the $85,000 La Senora at Sunland Park. The victory came on the heels of her 5 1/2-length win in last month’s $85,000 Enchantress at Sunland.
High Test Gal ($6.60) tracked That’s the Idea, who took the field through an opening quarter in 21.51 seconds and a half-mile in 44.57. High Test Gal overtook that rival and went on to cover six furlongs on a fast track in 1:10.41.
Francisco Giles rode the winner for Denton Crozier and trainer Hermenegildo Aldavaz.
Rollsetroll finished second in the La Senora, while it was another 1 1/2 lengths back to That’s the Idea in third.
High Test Gal earned $51,000 for the win. She has won 4 of 7 starts and $142,680.
