Sunland boosts overnight purses by 25 percent
Sunland Park has increased overnight purses by 25 percent in a boost that went into effect Friday, the track announced. The increase translates to an additional $50,000 in purse money each card, according to the press release.
Sunland has experienced strong business over the first two-thirds of its meet, which runs 55 dates through April 3.
Sunland also has started putting on 10-race cards. First post daily is 12:25 p.m. Mountain.
Catalog out for Texas sale
There have been 132 juveniles cataloged to a 2-year-olds in training sale April 6 at Lone Star Park, the Texas Thoroughbred Association announced. The auction is put on by both the track and the TTA. The under tack show is set for April 4.

Among the stallions represented by offspring in the sale are Always Dreaming, Arrogate, Cloud Computing, Distorted Humor, Ghostzapper, Mendelssohn, Runhappy, Tapwrit, Too Much Bling, and Sky Mesa.
The catalog includes a half-sibling to Mr Money Bags, a past Texas-bred of the Year.
