Sunday stakes recaps (11/14/04)

* Tin Man Commin ($21.80) reaped the benefits of the pace falling apart in front of him to come from 20 lengths back and capture the $40,000 To Much Coffee Stakes at Hoosier Park by 2 3/4 lengths. Mr. Mink, favored at 7-5 in the field of 12 Indiana-breds, sprinted off to his usual commanding lead but shortened stride through the far turn and finished last, beaten more than 40 lengths.

* Two Down Automatic ($2.60) ran to his 1-5 odds when he rolled to a two-length win over Russian Elite in the $53,100 Sunland Park Fall Thoroughbred Derby at Sunland Park. Two Down Automatic went wide into the stretch and rallied past the leaders, covering 6 1/2 furlongs over a muddy track in 1:15.87.

* Financingavailable ($2.60), purchased privately here last summer by owner K.K. Sangara, was a 7 3/4-length winner of the $160,350 Jammed Lovely Stakes at Woodbine.
