Louisiana-bred millionaire Sunbean hasn’t raced since February but is galloping steadily, is close to being ready to breeze, and, if all goes well, will make his comeback sometime during the Fair Grounds meet, according to trainer Ron Faucheux. “He’s been galloping, and he’s training great,” Faucheux said. “He’s never looked so good to me.” Sunbean, a Brittlyn Stable homebred originally trained by Al Stall, lost his career debut by a nose but then became literally unbeatable in Louisiana-bred races, winning his next 11 such starts. That streak ended with a shocking third Feb. 7 at Delta Downs, and Sunbean has not started since.
