Summersault to make return in La Prevoyante

HALLANDALE BEACH, Fla. – Trainer Mark Hennig said he is in no rush to bring his Grade 3 stakes-winning turf specialist Summersault back to the races, despite the fact she looked very sharp working six furlongs in 1:12.71 over the turf here Sunday. Summersault, winner of the Grade 3 Orchid here last winter, has not started since finishing fourth in the Grade 3 Long Island Handicap on Nov. 4 at Aqueduct.
“We didn’t even nominate her for the Marshua’s River this weekend,” Hennig said. “She hasn’t run in a while, which is why I wanted to give her a good work on Sunday. But I’m going to wait and probably bring her back in the La Prevoyante because I think she seems to really appreciate more ground. And we know she really likes this course.”
The Grade 3 La Prevoyante will be contested at 1 1/2 miles on Jan. 27.
