Barbara D. Livingston Kentucky Derby and Dubai World Cup winner Animal Kingdom will stand his first Northern Hemisphere season at Darley's Jonabell Farm in Lexington, Ky.

The trio of Street Cry, Bernardini, and Medaglia d’Oro will each stand for $100,000 in 2014 to top Darley’s stallion roster at Jonabell Farm in Lexington, Ky.

Street Cry and Medaglia d’Oro each stood for $100,000 in 2013, while Bernardini’s fee represents a drop from his 2013 fee of $150,000.

Street Cry’s 2013 season was highlighted by New Year’s Day, who recently captured the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile at Santa Anita Park. The colt was the second Juvenile winner for his sire, joining Street Sense, who added the Kentucky Derby the following spring to become the first horse to pull off the double.

"New Year’s Day winning the Juvenile for Street Cry was a big thrill and we hope he does in the Kentucky Derby what Street Sense did,” Charlie Boden, Darley’s head of sales in America, said. “The big race wins are always so rewarding and what we all strive for, whether it’s the Breeders’ Cup or the Dubai World Cup. We are lucky to have had a taste of both this year.”

Street Sense, represented by two Grade 1 winners in 2013, returns from Darley in Japan to stand alongside his sire in Kentucky, and has an advertised fee of $40,000.

Among the new sires on the Darley roster is 2011 Kentucky Derby winner and champion Animal Kingdom. Winner of this year’s Dubai World Cup, Animal Kingdom is currently standing his first season at Arrowfield Stud in Australia, and will shuttle to Kentucky for the 2014 Northern Hemisphere season. His introductory fee is $35,000.

“Animal Kingdom has generated a lot of interest,” Boden said. “Watching Wise Dan win a second Mile at Santa Anita last weekend reminded me of Animal Kingdom’s battle with him last year."

Also returning from Australia is Lonhro ($30,000), and a new addition, his son Denman ($15,000).

"We can’t be more excited about Denman,” Boden said. “Lonhro has been a sell-out for the last two years so it made perfect sense to bring Denman up, too, as he’s the next best thing. He is Australia’s leading first-season sire and the most popular horse on our roster in Australia right now.”

Discreet Cat’s fee will rise from $12,500 to $20,000 for 2014. Two other Darley Kentucky sires saw their fees unchanged, as Elusive Quality remains at $50,000 and Street Boss at $10,000. Girolamo, who returns to Kentucky from New York, will stand for $12,500.

Midshipman’s fee will drop from $10,000 to $7,500, while Regal Ransom’s fee will drop from $7,500 to $6,000.

At Darley’s Sequel Stallions location in New York, Desert Party will stand for an unchanged fee of $7,500, and new sire Emcee will debut at the same rate.

All fees are payable when the foal stands and nurses.
