Storm's Darling best in Goddess Breeders' Cup

Storm's Darling proved much the best Friday night in the $100,000 Goddess Breeders' Cup at Delta Downs, when she drew out to a seven length win in the mile and a sixteenth race for fillies and mares. Miss Confusion finished second, four and three quarter lengths in front of Legs O'Neal.
Storm's Darling ($3.20) tracked pacesetter Miss Confusion through fractions of 24.73 seconds for the opening quarter, 48.81 seconds for the half-mile mark, and 1:13.82 for six furlongs. Storm's Darling overtook that one and went on to cover the distance over a fast track in 1:45.96.
Eddie Martin Jr. rode the winner for trainer Bobby Barnett.
Storm's Darling earned $60,000 for the win, and overall has a record of eight wins from 19 starts for earnings of $311,444. She races for Arthur Vogel.
