With storm on the way, racetracks cancel

Turfway Park in Florence, Ky., canceled live racing for both Friday and Saturday in anticipation of a winter storm. The Wintergreen Stakes, originally set for Saturday, will likely be rescheduled but a date has not been announced.

* The storm had already begun Friday morning at Beulah Park in Grove City, Ohio, which canceled both for that day and for Saturday. The storm was expected to drop up to 14 inches of snow in the area.

* Mountaineer racetrack in Chester, W.Va., canceled its Friday night card in anticipation of the storm.
