Storm halts Fasig-Tipton show

Stormy weather in Timonium, Md., caused suspension of Fasig-Tipton Midlantic's under-tack show Wednesday, one of two shows this week showcasing horses in the company's May 21-22 preferred 2-year-old auction at Timonium. The show was halted with 70 horses left to work on Wednesday, prompting Fasig-Tipton to add those horses to Thursday's under-tack show. At Wednesday's abbreviated preview, Hip Nos. 11 and 46 posted the fastest eighth-mile time of 10.20 seconds. Hip No. 11 is a Carson City-Golden Jenny filly, and Hip No. 46 is a Rock Slide-Imabove You colt. Hip No. 9, a Fusaichi Pegasus-Gloriosa filly breezed the fastest quarter-mile time of 21.60 seconds. Hip Nos. 216 and 223 had the fastest three-eighths time of 35.80 seconds; Hip No. 216 is an El Corredor-Power Play filly, and Hip No. 223 is a Trust N Luck-Princess Frog colt.
