Stolis Winner eyes earnings record

Stolis Winner will attempt to become Quarter Horse racing's all-time leading earner when he runs in Saturday night's $25,000 B.F. Phillips Jr. Handicap at Lone Star Park. He is the 126-pound highweight in the 400-yard race, which is restricted to horses bred in Texas.

Stolis Winner will have to win the first-place check of $13,750 to surpass Refrigerator's all-time earnings mark of $2,126,309. Stolis Winner, a past World Champion, has earned $2,114,731.
