Stellar Wind, Lady Eli among those on offer at Keeneland November

Stellar Wind wins the Zenyatta Stakes
Shigeki Kikkawa Multiple Grade 1 winner Stellar Wind is among the horses being offered at Keeneland's November breeding stock sale.

Keeneland has cataloged 4,762 horses for its November breeding stock sale, which will run from Tuesday, Nov. 8 to Sunday, Nov. 20. The catalog, which is now available online, represents a 6 percent increase from the 4,476 cataloged last year.

Keeneland November, which includes racing or broodmare prospects, broodmares, weanlings, stallions, and racing or stallion prospects, is one of the major fall mixed sales held shortly following the Breeders' Cup, and is thus notable for the top mares who head straight from the races to the sale grounds. Notable offerings this year include champion Stellar Wind, who will be one of the favorites in the Breeders' Cup Distaff after twice defeating champion Beholder, and the once-beaten Lady Eli, who is targeting the Grade 1 Flower Bowl Invitational this weekend at Belmont Park as her final prep for the Breeders' Cup Filly and Mare Turf. They are consigned as agents by Lane's End and Hill 'n' Dale Sales, respectively.

Broodmares in the catalog include 11 carrying foals from the first crop of Triple Crown winner American Pharoah.

Conquest Stables announced this summer that it would completely disperse its Thoroughbred holdings at Keeneland November, and its representatives make up 111 offerings in the catalog, with Lane's End as agent. The dispersal is highlighted by Grade 1 winner My Conquestadory and her first foal, a weanling colt by Tapit.

Among the stallions or stallion prospects on offer are Grade 1 winner General Quarters, who most recently stood at Crestwood Farm in Kentucky; Grade 1-placed Maimonides, who stood the 2016 season in Ohio; Grade 1 winners Hard Aces and Dads Caps; and notable performers such as Kid Cruz, Norumbega, Neck 'n Neck, and Swipe.
