Stealth Cat loves Sunland Park. She improved her record at the New Mexico track to 6 for 11 on Sunday, when she ran down pacesetter Cape of Bradford in the $50,000 Bold Ego Stakes. Last year, Stealth Cat was second in the 5 1/2-furlong race for fillies and mares. Stealth Cat ($6.80) raced in sixth early, as Cape of Bradford was clear through fractions of 44.78 seconds for the opening half-mile and 57.13 for five furlongs. Stealth Cat overtook the leader in the stretch and covered the distance on a fast track in 1:03.78. Luis Contreras was aboard for J. Kirk Robison and trainer Steve Asmussen. * On the undercard, Double Eagle Ranch, which co-owns Kentucky Derby winner Mine That Bird, swept the two stakes offered for Quarter Horses. Time for a Change ($8.40) was a neck winner of the Grade 2, $131,700 Winter Quarter Horse Derby, while Templar Knight ($7.60) became a stakes winner in the Grade 2, $224,407 Winter Quarter Horse Futurity. Both horses were trained by Tony Sedillo.
