As per state order, Churchill to close dining rooms and bars
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Effective Friday at 5 p.m. Eastern, the state of Kentucky began barring all but take-out orders and outdoor dining at bars and restaurants, owing to a recent surge in COVID-19 positives.
At Churchill Downs, all dining rooms and bars at the track will be closed, with food and drink available only at concession stands, to be consumed in outdoor seating areas. Thanksgiving and the Friday that follows typically have been huge days for dining at Churchill, although the track initially had planned on hosting only a fraction of those usual thousands of guests this year because of the pandemic.

Churchill was spectator-free during its spring and September meets, but fans have been permitted since the start of the fall meet on Oct. 25.
Churchill tightened its Friday schedule so that the last race would be run before the deadline. The new Kentucky rules are in effect until Dec. 13.
