Starship Jubilee has significantly tougher job in Jenny Wiley

HALLANDALE BEACH, Fla. – Starship Jubilee will attempt to stay unbeaten on the year when she races next in the Grade 1 Jenny Wiley on the Keeneland turf.
Trainer Kevin Attard said Starship Jubilee, back at her Gulfstream base, exited her victory last Saturday in the Grade 2 Hillsborough at Tampa in good order and will take on the best in the filly-mare turf division in the April 11 Jenny Wiley going 1 1/16 miles.

Starship Jubilee upped her record to 3 for 3 in 2020 and 17 for 35 overall when she overcame something of a difficult trip in the Hillsborough. The 7-year-old Florida-bred now has won seven graded stakes, led by the Grade 1 E.P. Taylor last fall at Woodbine.
Opposing jockeys “rode her like the favorite and made her as uncomfortable as they could” in the Hillsborough, said Attard, “but what she lacks in size, she definitely has in heart.”
◗ The annual Permanently Disabled Jockeys Fund benefit dinner originally scheduled for March 23 in Boca Raton. Fla., has been postponed because of the coronavirus scare, according to event host Carlo Vaccarezza. A makeup date in early November in Lexington, Ky., is in the works, he said.
