Coady Media Standoutsensation has now won 6 of 24 starts for earnings of $660,237.

Standoutsensation won her fourth consecutive race when she rebuffed a stretch bid from Queen Azteca and went on to a 1 1/2-length victory over that one in the $150,000 Pippin on Friday at Oaklawn Park. It was another 5 1/2 lengths back to In Just My Heels in third.

The Pippin, which was for fillies and mares, was run over 1 1/16 miles.

Standoutsensation ($4) was prominent from the start, as she tracked Reagan’s Flame through an opening quarter-mile in 23.35 seconds and a half-mile in 47.40. Standoutsensation took over through six furlongs in 1:12.31, faced a challenge in the stretch from Queen Azteca, and went on to cover the distance on a track rated fast in 1:44.19.

“She’s a pretty nice filly to ride,” jockey Luis Saez said in an interview conducted by Oaklawn. “She put me in a great spot. I could have taken the lead if we wanted. We wanted to have a target. Coming into the stretch, I had so much horse.”

Standoutsensation is trained by Tom Amoss. She began her streak in a two-other-than allowance in July at Saratoga. From there, Standoutsensation won an allowance at Churchill Downs and the $145,500 Turnback the Alarm Stakes in her last start on Nov. 2 at the Belmont meet at Aqueduct.

Standoutsensation races for Richard Emmett and Joel Politi. She has now won 6 of 24 starts for earnings of $660,237. Standoutsensation is a daughter of Take Charge Indy.

Saez came back and won the next race aboard Speed King, the winner of last year’s Southwest Stakes who on Friday won a six-furlong allowance in a rapid 1:09.45.
