Standing Perfect wins Louisiana Legacy Stakes
Standing Perfect became a stakes winner Monday in the $75,000 Louisiana Legacy at Delta Downs.
The horse was moving from one turn to two turns for the 7 1/2-furlong race, which was for 3-year-olds bred in Louisiana.

Standing Perfect ($4.60) sat just off Morricone through an opening quarter in 23.43 seconds, then took over through a half-mile in 48.30. Standing Perfect continued to lead through six furlongs in 1:14.50 and had more in the stretch, going on to a three-length win over Wise Anchor. It was another length and a half back in third to Drewhustle.
Standing Perfect covered 7 1/2 furlongs on a track rated wet-fast in 1:35.65.
Ashley Broussard was aboard the winner for trainer Lee Thomas.
Standing Perfect came into the Louisiana Legacy off a runner-up finish in the Louisiana Champions Day Juvenile over six furlongs at Fair Grounds. One start prior, he won a maiden special weight at two turns in his debut last September at Louisiana Downs.
Standing Perfect is a son of Half Ours and he races for Respect the Valleys.
