Stallwalkin' Dude targets General George

Adam Coglianese/NYRA Stallwalkin' Dude was being considered for the Palos Verdes at Santa Anita on Saturday, but stayed home.
OZONE PARK, N.Y. – Trainer David Jacobson canceled plans to ship Stallwalkin’ Dude to Southern California for Saturday’s Palos Verdes Stakes at Santa Anita. Jacobson said there was a logistical issue and that canceling the trip didn’t have anything to do with the horse’s health.
Jacobson said that he now will point Stallwalkin’ Dude to the Grade 3, $250,000 General George Stakes at Laurel on Feb. 18.
Stallwalkin’ Dude, the winner of the Grade 3 Bold Ruler last October at the General George distance of seven furlongs, most recently finished third, beaten a neck, in the Grade 3 Toboggan, a six-furlong race at Aqueduct on Jan. 16.
