Stallwalkin' Dude back on dirt in Sunday co-feature

The co-features at Gulfstream Park West on Sunday are first-level optional-claiming races. David Jacobson has found a nice spot for Stallwalkin’ Dude in the fifth, and Todd Pletcher has two top players in race 9.
Stallwalkin’ Dude is an example of how well Jacobson finds proper spots for his horses. He claimed Stallwalkin’ Dude, who is capable of racing on dirt or turf, for $16,000 out of a grass race at Gulfstream Park in September. He brought him back a month later in an optional starter for horses who have run for $16,000 claiming, and he won on the dirt. He switched Stallwalkin’ Dude back to turf in his next start at a similar starter level, and he finished second.

Stallwalkin’ Dude earned $18,400 in those two races, and now Jacobson makes use of his first-level allowance condition in this six-furlong main-track sprint, which has a purse of $35,000. Stallwalkin’ Dude, a 4-year-old who is 5 for 17, has an experience and Beyer Speed Figure edge on his competition.
The ninth race is a first-level optional claimer at a mile. Pletcher has entered None Like Nolan and Biedermeier, both of whom are contenders.
None Like Nolan, a Saratoga maiden winner, finished second at this level and distance in his first Gulfstream Park West start Oct. 20. He made a bold middle move to contention on the far turn of that race, then raced in traffic in upper stretch. Joe Bravo rides Sunday.
Biedermeier was a six-furlong maiden winner in his local debut and will stretch out here under Edgard Zayas.
