OPELOUSAS, La. – The first stakes race of the young Evangeline Downs season is Friday night, when eight 3-year-old fillies will go seven furlongs in the $50,000 Cajun Miss Stakes. Blip n’ Th Bye has been installed as the 9-5 morning-line favorite as she makes her stakes debut for new trainer Al Stall Jr. “We got her back in February at Fair Grounds,” Stall said on Tuesday as he traveled to Kentucky from his hometown of New Orleans for Friday’s opening day at Keeneland. “She looks like a nice filly. We just sat on her and sweetened her up a bit. With her style, seven furlongs looks to be a good fit. We like the draw. Hopefully, we can pick up some black type with her.” Cajun Miss, Race 9 KEY CONTENDERS Blip n’ Th Bye, by Tale of Ekati :: Bet Evangeline Downs with DRF Bets.
