Stall, Cox have leading runners in Wednesday's best races
RACE REPLAY IS NOT AVAILABLE
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Back-to-back allowances anchor a nine-race Wednesday card at Churchill Downs, where three straight five-day weeks remain at the 24-day meet.
Race 7 is an $89,000, second-level race in which Locally Owned, a winner here in late June, figures as the one to beat for trainer Al Stall Jr. Eight older horses will go 1 1/16 miles.
Race 8 is an $87,000, first-level turf mile in which the Brad Cox-trained More Than Unusual is the 5-2 morning-line favorite in an oversubscribed lineup of fillies and mares.
Sunshine and a high of 63 are in the Wednesday forecast. First post is 1 p.m. Eastern.
