Stakes-quality hard-knockers meet in Thursday turf mile
RACE REPLAY IS NOT AVAILABLE
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – A $95,000 allowance that drew a handful of stakes winners, including a trio of 6-year-olds with impressive résumés, will anchor a 10-race Thursday card at Churchill in Louisville.
Parlor, Mr. Misunderstood, and Big Score are among those accomplished older horses in the ninth race, which will be run as a two-turn mile over the turf. The multi-tiered race conditions include a $150,000 claiming option, with Parlor, runner-up by a nose in the Grade 1 Maker’s Mark Mile in July, being risked for that inordinately high sum amid a field of 10, including one main-track-only designate.
Mr. Misunderstood and Big Score are multiple stakes winners nearing the $1 million earnings mark, underscoring the depth of the lineup.
