Kyle McDoniel, a long-time sports marketing executive, has been hired by Equibase as its president and chief operating officer, the company announced on Tuesday. McDoniel, who was most recently the vice president of U.S. strategic partnerships at Sportradar, will fill a position that was vacated when Sal Sinatra resigned in the summer of last year. James Gagliano, the president and chief operating officer of The Jockey Club, has served in the position on an interim basis since Sinatra left. (The Jockey Club is a co-owner of Equibase.) At Sportradar, McDoniel “led strategic planning, business development, and ongoing partnership management” with major sports leagues, including the NFL, NBA, MLB, and NHL, on their official betting data and technical services. Equibase is the racing industry’s official data manager, and it sells a variety of handicapping and industry data products. Prior to Sportradar, McDoniel had sports-marketing positions at ESPN, Fox Sports, and Yahoo Sports. :: Take your handicapping to the next level and play with FREE DRF Past Performances - Formulator or Classic.  “Kyle will bring a fresh perspective to Equibase and the sport,” said Ian D.
