Leading juvenile sire Into Mischief's stud fee has risen to $150,000 and he is already booked full for 2019, Spendthrift Farm has announced as it revealed its stallion roster and a new incentive program. The farm will stand 25 stallions at its Lexington, Ky., base for 2019, including three Grade 1-winning newcomers - Bolt d'Oro, Free Drop Billy, and Mor Spirit. Bolt d'Oro remains in training through the end of this season, with his initial fee set at $25,000, subject to change pending race results. Mor Spirit's fee was previously announced at $10,000, and Free Drop Billy's fee is to be announced. Into Mischief's new fee represents a boost from $100,000 this past season. The stallion has had a banner year in which he is again among the leading juvenile sires with runners such as Grade 2 winner Instagrand. He was represented by his first classic-placed runner in Kentucky Derby third-place finisher Audible and scored his first million-dollar yearling at Keeneland September. Into Mischief's son Goldencents currently leads the freshman sire list, and his fee at Spendthrift for 2019 will be $20,000, up from $12,500. Spendthrift is known for pioneering breeder incentive programs such as "Share the Upside" and "Breed Secure," and has unveiled the "Safe Bet Program" for 2019. The program is designed to minimize risk for breeders who support any of Spendthrift’s fourth-year stallions that have first-crop 2-year-olds set to hit the track in 2019. The program was designed to assure breeders a significant level of success from a stallion’s first crop of 2-year-old runners, or the breeder will pay a significantly discounted stud fee. Classic sire Malibu Moon will remain at $75,000 for the 2019 season. The roster is rounded out by Lord Nelson at $25,000; Jimmy Creed at $20,000; Cross Traffic, Gormley, and Temple City at $10,000; Brody's Cause and Wicked Strong at $7,500; Palace and Race Day at $6,000; Cinco Charlie, Dominus, Flat Out, Hit It a Bomb, and Shakin It Up at $5,000; and Can the Man, Danza, Itsmyluckyday, Medal Count, and Normandy Invasion at $3,500.
