LEXINGTON, Ky. -  After announcing earlier this month that it would raise Malibu Moon’s stud fee, B. Wayne Hughes’s Spendthrift Farm in Lexington announced Wednesday that it will leave most of its other horses’ fees unchanged in 2011. One exception is Into Mischief. Spendthrift has trimmed his fee from $10,000 to $8,500 for the coming breeding season, which opens in February. The farm also will introduce two new stallions in 2011: Carter Handicap winner Warrior’s Reward and Arkansas Derby winner Line of David, who will stand for $15,000 and $7,500, respectively, in their initial season at stud. Warrior’s Reward is a 4-year-old Medaglia d’Oro colt out of For All You Do who retied from the races with $565,716 in earnings and 4 wins in 17 starts. Line of David, a 3-year-old by Lion Heart, is out of Emma’s Dilemma; he earned $662,000 and had 3 wins in 7 starts. The other Spendthrift stallions and their 2011 fees are Don’t Get Mad, $3,000; Notional, $7,500; and Tiz Wonderful, $12,500.
