Press Release|Nov 02, 2026
Sovereignty.Mott,Bill.Hotwalker Figueroa, Jonivel.11-1-26.BL
Barbara D. Livingston Sovereignty, with trainer Bill Mott and hotwalker Jonviel Figueroa just before he was to be vanned to his new home at Jonabell, retired with over $10.5 million in earnings.

Breeders' Cup Classic winner Sovereignty will stand the 2027 season at Jonabell Farm for a fee of $150,000, while Pacific Classic winner and Classic third-place finisher Knightsbridge's fee will be set at $75,000.

Sovereignty, the 2025 Horse of the Year and Eclipse champion 3-year-old colt, won the Kentucky Derby, Belmont Stakes, and Travers at 3, and added the Grade 1 Whitney this year before capping off his stellar career on Saturday with an impressive victory in the Grade 1 Breeders' Cup Classic. He is the only horse ever to win the Kentucky Derby, Travers, and Breeders' Cup Classic, and joins Street Sense as the only Kentucky Derby winners to take the Travers in the past 30 years. In addition to his five Grade 1 victories, he also won the Grade 3 Street Sense at two and the Grade 2 Fountain of Youth and Jim Dandy at 3.

The fastest son of Into Mischief, Sovereignty earned a 115 Beyer for his spectacular 10-length victory in the Travers and a 112 Beyer in the Whitney. He earned a 110 Beyer for the Classic. He retires with earnings of over $10.5 million.

Knightsbridge, a five-time graded stakes winner, was an impressive third in the Classic after setting the pace. His victories include the Grade 1 Pacific Classic by six lengths, a 10-length victory in the Grade 3 Monmouth Cup earning a 122 Beyer, and an 11-length win in the Grade 3 Gulfstream Park Mile earning a 112 Beyer. The fastest son of Nyquist, his 122 Beyer Speed Figure is the best figure since Flightline.

A half-brother to exciting freshman sire Speaker's Corner, Knightsbridge is out of the Bernardini mare Tyburn Brook, a daughter of Grade 1 Breeders' Cup Distaff and Grade 1 Acorn winner Round Pond. He retires with earnings of over $2.1 million.

Darley was to offer a lifetime breeding right in each stallion at Fasig-Tipton's Night of the Stars Sale on Monday night in Lexington.

Along with the two new additions to the Jonabell roster, exciting freshman Speaker's Corner's fee has been set at $15,000 for 2027. He is the sire of impressive seven-length, Grade 2 Oak Leaf winner Domain Expansion along with Grade 1 Spinaway runner-up Harper's Corner.
