Patrick Husbands rode Souper Sensational when she won her Sept. 26 debut going seven furlongs comfortably from a stalking position, and on Saturday.
“She’s on her game right now, and I didn’t want to disappoint her,” Husbands said. “I wanted to ride her like the best horse. If (Reinforced) wanted to go with her, I would have gone with her. She’s so classy. You can do anything with her. She’s just a 3-year-old in a 2-year-old-body.”
A $725,000 Saratoga yearling purchase by the top sire Curlin, Souper Sensational earned $60,000 for Live Oak Plantation.
