Some Ghost repeats

Some Ghost defended his title in the $100,000 Albert Dominguez Memorial Handicap at Sunland Park on Sunday, when he rallied for a neck win over El Minuto. It was another 4 3/4 lengths back to Romeos Wilson.

Rocky Gulch, the favorite, finished 11th.

Some Ghost ($12.60) raced in seventh early in the 1 1/16-mile race for New Mexico-breds, as Excess Folly led the field through an opening half-mile in 47.15 seconds. Some Ghost rallied through the stretch, and covered the distance over a fast track in 1:144.61.

Ricardo Jaime rode the winner for trainer Jess Alley.

Some Ghost earned $60,000 for the win, which was his eighth from 24 career starts. He has now earned $330,338. Some Ghost races for Stan Fulton.
