HALLANDALE BEACH, Fla. – Thursday’s main event is a five-furlong, $43,000 Tapeta allowance restricted to Florida-bred fillies and mares. Sol Hope, a six-time winner in her career, will take advantage of the race’s optional claiming clause, competing under a $20,000 tag as the likely favorite for trainer Mike Maker. Claimed for 2 1/2 times that price last spring at Saratoga, Sol Hope will be facing statebreds for the first time since February 2023. Foggy Note is the only other multiple winner in the lineup, having notched four victories, the most recent of which came against mid-level conditioned claimers here on May 18. Trainer Joe Orseno will put blinkers on Love Actually.
