Snow Fall retired, will be bred in Kentucky

Snow Fall, who won the minor Paseana Handicap in January but was pulled up in the Grade 1 Santa Margarita Stakes on March 16, has been sent to Kentucky and will be bred this spring, trainer Jerry Hollendorfer said.

Snow Fall is a 5-year-old daughter of War Front out of the Irish-bred Caerleon mare Snowflake. Snow Fall is a half-sister to multiple Grade 3 winner Upperline, who earned more than $770,000.

Snow Fall ended her career with 4 wins in 15 starts and earnings of $197,443. Snow Fall raced for Peter Abruzzo, Taylor Made Properties, and George Saufley.

In the Santa Margarita, Snow Fall was racing in third in a field of five on the backstretch but was pulled up on the turn. She was walked off the racetrack. Hollendorfer said that Snow Fall did not bleed in that race and did not suffer an injury.
