Sleepy Hollow: Friends Lake rolls

Friends Lake received a perfect trip under Richard Migliore and rolled to a 3 1/2-length victory over Pa Pa Da in the $100,000 Sleepy Hollow for juvenile males. It was another 5 1/2 lengths back to Rb's Glitter.

Friends Lake raced along the inside, sitting behind a three-ply speed duel that included Pa Pa Da, Aladdin's Lamp, and Flagshipenterprise. Friends Lake bulled his way to the four path around the turn, overtook the leaders turning for home, and drew clear. Friends Lake, a son of A.P. Indy owned by Chester and Mary Broman and trained by John Kimmel, covered the mile in 1:36.39 and returned $8 as the third choice.

"He looked like a man amongst boys around the turn," Migliore said.
