Skipat: My Sister Sue primed to peak

Joe DeVivo|May 15, 2008

My Sister Sue, narrowly beaten in last year's $75,000 Skipat by the multiple stakes winner Silmaril, looks well spotted to win this year's running of the six-furlong stakes for fillies and mares (race 5).

Although she's 0 for 3 this year, the 5-year-old My Sister Sue comes off a second-place finish to La Chica Rica, a hot horse who returned to win a $75,000 stakes at Mountaineer Racetrack on Tuesday night.

A four-time winner last season, including the six-furlong Primonetta at Laurel, My Sister Sue prepped for this spot with a pair of bullet workouts locally.

Four of the eight horses - Akronism, Acinonyx, Long Time Gone, and Drama Lady - were cross-entered in Friday's The Very One, a five-furlong stakes on turf.
