Lone Star Park

Six stakes winners in Sunday feature

Mary Rampellini|Jun 24, 2016
W V Jetsetter, TTA Sales Futurity Colts and Geldings, BEYER
Dustin Orona Photography W V Jetsetter, a two-time stakes winner on dirt, returns to the main track after two turf races in Sunday's featured sixth race.

There are six stakes winners in the seven-horse feature Sunday at Lone Star Park. W V Jetsetter, Solar Charge, A M Milky Way, and Johnny Whip are among the older horses set to clash in the optional $40,000 claiming race over six furlongs. The field also includes Louie’s Flower and Meme Jo.

Medal of Courage, the lone horse in the field who has not won a stakes, figures to go favored after winning four of his last five starts. The chief threat could be W V Jetsetter, who is getting back to dirt, where he is a two-time stakes winner, following a pair of turf sprints at Lone Star.

W V Jetsetter is an older half-brother to More Than Most, who has won back-to-back stakes this meet at Lone Star.
