Sisterly Love back to Polytrack in Trillium

ETOBICOKE, Ontario – Sisterly Love and Royal Fury will meet in Saturday’s supporting feature at Woodbine, the $100,000 Trillium, a 1 1/16-mile overnight stakes for fillies and mares on Polytrack.
Sisterly Love, Canada’s champion older female in 2013, was a well-beaten ninth in her initial turf start here May 25 in the Grade 2 Nassau Stakes. Trainer Mark Casse said he didn’t know what to make of her lackluster performance that day.
“It’s hard to believe that she could hate the grass that much,” Casse said. “We’re hoping it was just the grass.”

Royal Fury was a fringe performer on turf at Gulfstream during the winter before winning the allowance prep for the Trillium after a short break.
“She’d been running in some decent company at Gulfstream,” trainer Brian Lynch said. “The freshening didn’t hurt her. She just seems to have come out of her [last] race so good. I have a feeling that she might move a little bit forward again.”
