Sistercharlie's half-sister set for U.S. debut

ELMONT, N.Y. – My Sister Nat, a half-sister to the 2018 female turf champion Sistercharlie and recent French Derby winner Sottsass, will make her seasonal and U.S. debut Saturday in a second-level allowance race that goes as race 3 on the 10-race program.
My Sister Nat, like Sistercharlie, is owned by Peter Brant and trained by Chad Brown. A daughter of the Great Britain-bred stallion Acclamation, My Sister Nat won two of six starts, all for trainer Francis-Henri Graffard, in 2018, including the Group 3 Prix Bertrand de Tarragon at Longchamp last Sept. 22. She hasn’t raced since finishing sixth in the Group 1 Prix de l’Opera, with Homerique finishing third. Homerique was bought out of that race by Brant and turned over to Brown and has won two graded stakes at Belmont, including the Grade 2 New York earlier this month.
My Sister Nat began working at Palm Meadows on April 1 and shows 11 workouts leading to this start.
“She got a little sick when she first got here,” Brown said. “She’s training well. We’ll see how she develops. I do think she’s high quality. We’ll see where she takes us.”
There are seven runners in this 1 1/16-mile race, including the Brown-trained Mighty Scarlett, who finished fourth in this type of allowance at Keeneland in April, her lone start this year.
