Sire Liam's Map has great day of three stakes winners at Gulfstream

Liam's Map, one of the accomplished runners in a stellar class of third-crop sires, showcased his versatility with a fantastic Saturday of three stakes winners at Gulfsteam Park.
The stallion's daughter Crazy Beautiful punched her ticket to the Kentucky Oaks with a breakthrough victory in the Grade 2 Gulfstream Park Oaks.
Elsewhere on the card, Churn N Burn won the Grade 2 Pan American Stakes at 1 1/2 miles on turf, and Basin took the Sir Shackleton Stakes at seven furlongs on dirt.
Liam's Map, who stands at Lane's End Farm, finished fourth on the 2019 freshman sires earnings list, and was the only member of that class to sire a pair of Grade 1 winners in his first season, Basin and Wicked Whisper. Last year, the stallion finished fifth in his class by earnings. Through Saturday, he sits a close second on the third-crop earnings list to Constitution, as the two sport bankrolls of $2,110,605 and $1,999,427, respectively. He leads the list with three graded stakes winners this season thus far.

Liam's Map, by Unbridled's Song, was a multiple Grade 1 winner who concluded his career by winning the 2015 Breeders' Cup Dirt Mile. As the racing season continues, the young stallion could be set up for continued success. Following Crazy Beautiful's anticipated run in the Kentucky Oaks on April 30 at Churchill Downs, the stallion's top earner this season, Colonel Liam, is pointing to the Grade 1 Turf Classic on the Kentucky Derby undercard May 1.
Colonel Liam won the Grade 1 Pegasus World Cup Turf in January at Gulfstream, and most recently took the Grade 2 Muniz Memorial Classic at Fair Grounds.
