Sippin stays perfect in La Senora

Sippin improved her career record to 6 for 6 on Tuesday, when she was up for a half-length win over Rappakuba in the $85,000 La Senora at Sunland Park. It was another three lengths back in third to Ivy Gimlet.
The La Senora was a six-furlong race for 2-year-old fillies bred in New Mexico.
Sippin ($2.40) settled off the pace as Rational Decision set fractions of 21.78 seconds for the opening quarter and 44.76 for the half-mile. Rappakuba took over in the stretch, but was unable to hold off Sippin, who covered the distance on a fast track in 1:10.55.
Tracy Hebert was aboard Sippin for trainer Todd Fincher.
R.D. Hubbard bred and owns Sippin, who is a daughter of Swissle Stick. Sippin won the fourth stakes race of her career in the La Senora. She has earned $268,047.
