Gonzalez expected back Thursday
Ricardo Gonzalez, second in the Golden Gate Fields jockey standings, is expected to resume riding Thursday after injuring his wrist in a fall while galloping out Stand and Salute in the fifth race Friday.
He injured his left wrist in the spill after losing a photo in the five-furlong turf race to Holdthismiss.
X-rays proved negative, but there was a tendon strain. Gonzalez, who is wearing a soft cast, was taken off his weekend mounts Saturday morning.
