ETOBICOKE, Ontario − Sinclairity drops out of stakes company to compete with a $50,000 tag in Thursday’s sixth race at Woodbine, a 5 1/2-furlong conditioned allowance/optional claimer for fillies and mares.

Named after the great Canadian soccer star Christine Sinclair, Sinclairity took an eternity to clear the first open allowance condition, doing so May 31 over two next-out winners. She promptly doubled up in the six-furlong Ballade Stakes for Ontario-sired stock, closing from well back to prevail at 10-1 with a career-high 84 Beyer Speed Figure.

Sinclairity switched to the inner turf two back in the restricted Zadracarata Stakes and rallied for third behind reigning Canadian champion female sprinter Little Teddy and pacesetter Dolce Fortuna. She raced in sixth throughout when meeting Grade 3 stakes opponents most recently in the six-furlong Ontario Fashion.

Pietro Moran will ride the probable favorite Sinclairity again for Canuck Racing Club and trainer Kevin Attard. She has breezed a half-mile twice leading up to this engagement and it will be interesting to see if she gets claimed.

Also entered in Thursday’s feature are Give Me the Boots, Minimum Forty, Scary Speedy, Luz de La Luna, and Cara Cara.

Give Me the Boots closed stoutly from seventh to earn some black type when third in the Aug. 29 Ballade. She subsequently ran fourth behind Minimum Forty and Luz de La Luna and is coming off a troubled second behind the former where she awaited room on the turn.

The hot second-leading rider Fraser Aebly retains the mount on Give Me the Boots for trainer Richard Morden, who has worked her twice since her last outing.

Minimum Forty and Scary Speedy figure to link up on the front end. Trained by Robert Tiller, Minimum Forty won three of her first four starts before a distant seventh after failing to flash her customary speed in the Ballade.

Minimum Forty competed for the $50,000 at this level in each of her last two outings, finishing second to Ludicrous Aug. 1 and then winning comfortably Sept. 17 after putting away the other speed. The 80 Beyer she received most recently in the highest last-out Beyer in this field.

Scary Speedy has had a productive meet in his first campaign for trainer Ryan Jones, winning thrice and running second twice from five starts. She defeated first-level allowance company with a 78 Beyer in her penultimate race and finished a lapped-on second most recently at this level in a five-furlong inner turf dash.

Luz de La Luna has gone winless in seven starts this year while often competitive. She was reclaimed for $50,000 by trainer David Borsk in April and has since placed three times on the Tapeta before ending up fourth last out on the turf, her least favorite surface.

Cara Cara has struggled this year and is hard to recommend as she switches from turf to the Tapeta for her third start off a summer vacation.

Post time for the eight-race card 3:10 p.m.
