Silver Mission's credentials stand out in Rockville Centre

ELMONT, N.Y. – Silver Mission is 2 for 2, including a win in the Tremont Stakes last month. On Saturday, he’ll meet New York-breds for the first time when he heads a field of five in the $125,000 Rockville Centre at six furlongs.
Silver Mission, a son of Mission Impazible trained by Todd Pletcher, beat open company at Aqueduct on April 21 and then came back to win the Tremont by 6 1/4 length at Belmont on June 10.
Pletcher helped make the Rockville Centre go by entering the maiden Ethan Hunt, who is owned by the same Twin Creeks Racing Stables that owns Silver Mission. Ethan Hunt worked a bullet half-mile in 49 seconds on Wednesday and is eligible for a New York-bred maiden race July 25 at Saratoga.
Trainer Gary Contessa also entered two in the Rockville Centre, including 12-length debut winner Runaway Lute and the maiden Concatulations. Manifest Destiny, an 8 3/4-length debut winner against statebreds on June 17, completes the field.
