A shot at riches for $216

David Grening|Jan 31, 2005

OZONE PARK, N.Y. - For those who can't wait for Sunday's Super Bowl for action, there is a pick-six carryover of $141,195 at Aqueduct on Wednesday. Smaller tickets may have a chance at success, since Wednesday marks the first day that 10 simulcast sites that offer rebates will not have access to Aqueduct's pools.

Still, without a solid single it will take a decent bankroll to hit it. Here is a $216 play based on dry conditions.

Fourth race: was a clear second to runaway favorite Rhonda's Number Jan. 16. A switch to the inside post and a weak field make her a potential single, but I will also use Princess Jasmine, who stretches out off two decent sprint tries.

Fifth race: chased runaway repeat winner Kristy Dale on a speed-favoring surface Jan. 20. A switch to the inside post should help. April Eyes was successful first off the claim for Jason Servis, whose horses have a knack of maintaining their form. Jo Me the Money finished last as the favorite in slop try here Jan. 14, but deserves another shot on a dry surface while dropping sharply.

Sixth race: This could be the toughest race in the sequence, but I'll pare it to three betting interests. has won three straight, including a 4 1/2-length romp in the mud at this level last month. He may be challenged up front by Blue Skies Ahead, who goes first off the Dominic Galluscio claim. Still, I'll use Here's Zealous as well as the Scott Lake-trained entry of Leagueofhisown and Quiet Mike and the Richard Dutrow-trained Impeachthepro.

may get the right setup, though Lake said he isn't sure how he fits at this level. Leagueofhisown fits, but may have to use his speed from the rail. Impeachthepro returns off a six-week layoff and could work out a stalking trip from the outside post.

Seventh race: Seven uninspiring 3-year-old fillies try to clear the New York-bred entry-level allowance hurdle. I'll single , who was good enough to win a restricted stakes at Delaware Park as a maiden and should be able to handle the stretch-out to a mile and 70 yards.

Eighth race: I'll use , who is a candidate to get loose on the lead, and Stevie Stressor, who has had two troubled trips but could benefit if Texas Pro and Imafavoritetrick hook up early. I'm reluctantly leaving Imafavoritetrick off the ticket.

Ninth race: I'm using three. , a four-time beaten favorite, is hard to use or leave off; Newlymintedpenny and Perfect Colony make their first appearances for claiming tags for solid connections.
