Shipper Solo Run takes on six locals

Invader Solo Run will face six local juvenile fillies in the $50,000-guaranteed Sickle's Image Stakes. Scott Sowle, who is based at Turfway Park, trains the homebred Solo Run for Redbob Farms Inc. and David C. Mitchell.

A daughter of Langfuhr, Solo Run won her maiden at second asking at Mountaineer Park. Regular rider Mary Doser has the call.

Equalitysdebutante won the Temptress Stakes here on Aug. 25 by four lengths over Exit Sixty and Irish Date. Ricky Knott retains the mount for owner-breeder Richard Hammer and trainer Larry Penner.

Exit Sixty and Irish Date are both back for the Sickle's Image, along with Clever Idea and I Got To. Cherie's Challenge, a runaway winner on Aug. 28, will make her stakes debut for trainer Richard Rettele.

The six-furlong Sickle's Image is named for racing's top handicap female in 1953. It will be the fifth race on the card.
