She'screative tries to carry her speed in Louisiana Jewel

She’screative will attempt to stretch her excellent speed around two turns Friday night, when she faces fellow stakes winner Emily’s Lollipop and impressive last-out winners Testing One Two, Yes Gorgeous, and Girls Life in the $150,000 Louisiana Jewel at Delta Downs.
The Jewel is a mile stakes for 2-year-old fillies bred in Louisiana. The race drew 11, but will have a maximum gate of 10 on the six-furlong oval at Delta.
Trainer J.R. Caldwell hopes the tight track will benefit She’screative. She won the first two races of her career on the front end, including the $50,000 D.S. “Shine” Young Futurity on July 29 at Evangeline.
“Hopefully her speed can carry,” he said. “The bullring is the best way to carry it.”

“She doesn’t have to be on the lead. She’ll rate a little bit. Hopefully, we get out, get over, have a good, safe trip. Hopefully it all works out.”
