She’s a Go Girl likely to stalk stablemate in Saturday feature
Trained by leading trainer Greg Tracy, She’s a Go Girl certainly went, romping by eight lengths with Rico Walcott aboard when she made her Northlands Park debut in a non-winners-of-three, $25,000 optional-claiming race for fillies and mares going 6 1/2 furlongs July 11. She looks like the one to beat, but she is going to find the water a little deeper when she runs in a 6 1/2-furlong, $35,000 optional claimer that headlines Saturday’s eight-race card.
She’s a Go Girl is not only fast, she’s consistent. In six starts this year, she hasn’t finished worse than third. Prior to her last start, she was a sharp winner of a $12,500 claiming race at Santa Anita, where she earned an 83 Beyer Speed Figure, easily the top figure in Saturday’s field. She drew post 5.
Her stablemate, Divergent View, also is quick. She led from start to finish with Scott Williams riding when she easily handled next-out winner Caro’s Song in a $25,000 optional-claiming race July 30. Divergent View leaves from post 3.
Tracy had a hard time choosing between them.
“I kind of wish they could switch posts,” said Tracy. “It is a bit of a problem that they both have the same kind of running style, but I think Divergent View would have been able to stalk from the outside. I know one thing: They are both doing exceptionally well right now.”
