She's a Big Winner may try dirt in the future

ARCADIA, Calif. - She’s a Big Winner won her stakes debut in the $79,800 Sweet Life Stakes for 3-year-old fillies on the hillside turf course Saturday but will not be limited to that surface in coming months.
On Sunday, trainer Peter Eurton said he is considering starting She’s a Big Winner on dirt this spring. Warren’s Veneda has won 2 of 4 starts, with both wins coming on turf. She beat maidens on the hillside turf course Jan. 9.
“I think she’ll go two turns, and I think she’ll go on dirt,” he said. “She trains so well on dirt.”
In the short term, turf stakes for 3-year-old fillies such as the $75,000 China Doll Stakes for 3-year-old fillies at a mile March 7 and the $150,000 Providencia Stakes at 1 1/8 miles April 4 are possibilities.
Eurton said the China Doll “is a little soon. You skip that, and you’ve got the Providencia. I’ll nominate and see how she’s doing.”
She’s a Big Winner, purchased for $80,000 at a 2-year-olds in training sale in Maryland last May, races for Sharon Alesia, Ciaglia Racing, Rob Drydek, and Robin Christianson.
She’s a Big Winner has earned $87,550.
The filly was involved in a frightening incident last autumn. On Sept. 28, She’s a Big Winner unseated jockey Kent Desormeaux in the post parade of a maiden race. When Desormeaux got up to grab She’s a Big Winner’s reins, the filly kicked him in the chest, resulting in rib injuries that left him sidelined for nearly a month.
She’s a Big Winner was scratched that day and ran 11th in her career debut Oct. 12.
