She's All Ready can give stable a lift

OZONE PARK, N.Y. – She’s All Ready got her career off to a fast start with a pair of front-running victories in the summer of 2015 at Saratoga. Success was fleeting for the now-4-year-old daughter of Girolamo, who has won just once in her last 11 starts.
But with a new style – and excuses in her last two starts – She’s All Ready may be primed to upset Saturday’s $100,000 Broadway Stakes at Aqueduct. She’s All Ready, listed at 10-1 on the morning line, will try to wake up a quiet barn. Her trainer, Jim Ryerson, entered Thursday’s card 0 for 28 at the Aqueduct inner-track meet, which began Dec. 7.
She’s All Ready now races from off the pace, a style developed by accident when she broke poorly in the Miss Preakness last May at Pimlico but came with a decent late run to finish fourth. Jockey Kendrick Carmouche told Ryerson that he felt she could be better with that style.
After another fourth in an open-company stakes and a seventh in a turf sprint, She’s All Ready ran a solid second in a stakes race at Finger Lakes. Two races later, She’s All Ready came from off the pace to win a second-level New York-bred allowance at Aqueduct in November. Her last two starts, both third-place finishes in allowance company, came over wet tracks. Two back, she bobbled soon after the start but made up five lengths in the stretch.
“I was encouraged by the way she closed that day,” Ryerson said. “I felt she was a little too far back. Her last three races I think have her in the right direction, and I’m hoping that continues.”
She’s All Ready, who will be ridden by Antonio Gallardo, should get some pace in the Broadway. Hot City Girl, the 6-5 morning-line favorite, and Court Dancer, who almost beat the gate in a Dec. 18 race, are the primary speeds. Jet Majesty, turning back from a third in the Ladies, and Play Me a Memory also should be involved early.
Completing the field are Roman Ceres, who is 3 for 4 over the inner track, Flatterywillgetyou, and Splendid Gold.
