Trainer Cliff Lambert is having an outstanding meet at Ruidoso Downs and will attempt to keep his momentum going Saturday when he saddles Shame On Powers in the New Mexico track’s $150,000 Mountain Top Thoroughbred Futurity.
The five-furlong race is for 2-year-olds bred in New Mexico.
Shame On Powers comes in hot, as he has won his last three races, including the $60,000 C.O. Ken Kendrick Memorial Stakes on May 20 at SunRay Park. He also won his trial for the Mountain Top, during the June 7 card at Ruidoso.

“He’s won with about everything he’s run,” Casey Lambert said of his father’s high-percentage meet.
